BIO :: ABOUT DESIGNER
Cadence HaeWon Ryu, designer and owner of CadenceLee, was born with creative genes. Ever since she remembers, she enjoyed working with her hands to draw or make beautiful jewelry and handbags, even designing her own prom dress. Friends and family members have long been regaled with handmade gifts for special occasions. HaeWon graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a major in Graphic Design in 1997. Since then, she has worked as a graphic designer in the high-end fashion advertising industry in New York City.
While pursing her career as a Creative Director, she continued making and wearing her own jewelry. Coworkers, friends, strangers on the streets and store owners alike took notice of her earrings and necklaces, offering high praises and making requests. After receiving unanimously favorable responses, the idea of starting her own business developed. With the help of her husband Andrew Ryu, the CadenceLee collection was launched in 2002, a.k.a. Audrey Collins Design - a business that had, in many ways, started itself years ago.
Every piece of jewelry in the CadenceLee collection is carefully crafted and handmade with the finest quality stones. The style achieved is feminine with a modern edge, sexy yet timelessly classic, always glamorous, never dull.
